Shimelle Product Spotlight

Happy Wednesday! Today I'm showing you Shimelle's Go Now Go line in  the Paper Issues' product spotlight! We've got plenty in the store and in case you missed this line when it first came out, now is the perfect time to get your hands on some! I started with the most adorable 12x12 paper called Date. I love the rich burgundy and hearts! Then I layered my photo with lots of scrap papers I had left over. Saving scraps is always useful!

I finished off the layout with chipboard stickers, puffy hearts and ephemera. The "remember" and "happy" words are cut out from the Arrival 12x12 paper. Like what you see? Heart Day Spotlight

Hi friends! I'm back with another product spotlight for Paper Issues. Today we are showing you Crate Paper's Heart Day! It's the perfect Valentine's Day line or as my son calls it - Love Day!

My background paper is actually from Crate Paper's previous Valentine line called Hello Love. There's a little bit left in the store and you can find it here. It coordinates very well with this year's Heart Day. I then used black cardstock to cut out the Geo Globe cut file from The Cut Shoppe. I then backed it with the Lovely 12x12" paper. It's one of my favorites in this collection! Next, I layered the cut file with heart doilies that just barely stick out from underneath the circle.

Then I added my photo and lots of chipboard stickers! The puffy emoji heart stickers are super cute too! Instead of journaling by hand, this time I used my new We R Memory Keepers Typecast typewriter! It's such a fun touch! Hope you like! Thank you for stopping by! Cut It Up!

Cut It Up Saturday is always one of my favorite challenges! If you follow me on Instagram or visit my blog much you probably know I love to use cut files on my layouts. This month Stacie made a cut file with so many options you can use to customize your layout. Thanks Stacie! Paper Issues cut files are always free and you can find this one along with all our previous ones here!

For my layout, I created a grid pattern using Crate Paper's Hazelwood collection. I love this new line! I used Sweet as Honey and both sides of Hazel Gingham 12x12" papers! Then I embellished like crazy with all the fabulous stickers - puffy, chipboard and more! Find the whole collection here! With the cut file I decided to keep it simple. I removed the snowflake from the 2016, filled it in, and cut it out!

Now head over to the Paper Issues blog to see what the other ladies created! Thank you for stopping by!

My Funny Valentine Spotlight

Love is in the air at Paper Issues and it's time to start thinking about Valentine's Day! Today, we are playing with Pebble's My Funny Valentine line and showing you some great ideas on the blog! For my layout, I started with the Happy Valentine's Day 12x12 paper. I then used one of our free cut files {Love Script Heart} with the Pretty in Pink 12x12 paper. The ephemera pack is full of cute paper pieces. I used a couple on the layout, but they'd also be perfect for making some adorable valentine cards!

Hello friends! I'm here today to share with you our first sketch of 2017! Happy New Year to you! Time to get scrapping! You can find the sketch at the bottom of this post!

For my layout, I used Carta Bella's Space Academy. This line is all about stars, planets, and outer space adventures! The bottom half of the layout as well as the red triangles at the top are the Cadet Training 12x12 paper. The Stargazer title is from the sticker sheet and the ephemera and tags finish everything off!

Happy 1st day of January 2017! At Paper Issues we are starting off with a brand look, new design team, and a new challenge. So many exciting things happening here! You are definitely in the right place! Our new challenge is called the Notable Quotable Challenge. Each month we will give you a quote to inspire you in creating a layout. Use can use the whole quote, part of it, or the theme, etc! Here is this month's quote:

I was inspired by the love aspect of the quote and created a layout with a photo of my two boys on a cold winter afternoon! I used our free cut file - Open Heart Circles and Crate Paper's Valentine's Day line from last year called Hello Love. There's a little bit left in the store. You can find it here! Their new Valentine line Heart Day is also perfect!
